Position Overview:
Verra Mobility is seeking a local Associate Front End Developer to do hands of development, manage day to day team development activities to facilitate successful delivery of organizational goals in software delivery. The role will facilitate the development & delivery of software projects using React to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Assoicate Software Developer will report to the Software Development Manager and help implement policies, processes, and procedures to ensure high quality outcomes and achieve communicated delivery goals. The developer will work closely with the Architects, Product & Business teams and will assist in the building of new platforms on cloud technologies that diversify our portfolio as well as enhancing the technical platforms that drive our core business. This individual will collaborate with other teams & team members for sharing and gaining knowledge and experience to help enhance team performance and departmental competency.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing user interfaces and components using React and other front end technologies such as Typescript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
- Meet with the development teams to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
- Reviewing application requirements and interface designs while writing high quality code that is easy to maintain and test.
- Assist in developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
- Monitor and improve front-end performance while documenting application changes and development updates.
- Work with backend engineers to optimize existing API calls and integrating backend services to retrieve data.
- Use CI/CD pipelines for code integration and deployments.
- Implement and maintain unit tests.
- Troubleshooting and resolving software defects and debugging application codes.
- Participate in Agile development processes.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with React (preferred) or similar front end technologies.
- Design and build reference implementations of components and interfaces with new technologies.
- Used state management tools such as Redux or similar.
- Solid experience in designing critical areas of security, privacy, compliance, performance, capacity, and maintainability.
- Consuming and optimizing existing API calls and integrating backend services to retrieve data.
- In depth knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with industry standard automation tools.
- Experience working in a cloud environment such as AWS.
- Have an understanding of Web Services, SOAs, Database Performance and Networking.
- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands on experience working with Java for back end development is a plus.
- Successful completion of the Nlets fingerprinting background assessment.
- Must be located in Phoenix, AZ and willing to commute 2 days into our Mesa, Arizona office.
