We are seeking an associate level Full Stack Engineer to help deliver on our mission to free consumers from the hassles of everyday travel by making it faster and easier to get where you need to go, so they can focus on the destination.

Focusing on both frontend and backend systems, this role provides a variety of exciting challenges. Our team spends time working on our main website, React-based widget, and large integrations with our partners. You will spend your time working to create the best possible experience for our customers and our partners while at the same time helping us advance our codebase to the next level. We are passionately customer focused and excited for you to join the team and help us lead the charge.

What You'll Do:

• Code in React, javascript for the front end work
• Code in Ruby on Rails and Go for the back-end work
• Write unit tests
• Deliver projects promptly while maintaining high-quality standards
• Conduct technical spiking to explore and evaluate a future initiative
• Ship clean, testable code in which any developer on any team can easily understand and work with
• Perform code reviews for recently submitted pull requests
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, UX and QA on product development
• Attend the morning platform team stand with other departments
• Work collaboratively during the planning and grooming stages, where our engineers contribute to defining the products we develop
• Utilize Slack for prompt communication with your teammates and other Flash employees

What You Bring (technical skills):

• (Front-end) 1+ years of experience with React
• Experience with webpack
• Experience with a package manager such as Yarn or Npm
• Familiarity with TypeScript
• (Back-end) 1+ years of experience building out scalable APIs and services using both Ruby on Rails and Go
• Familiarity with AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, S3, and EB

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them effectively.
• Strong Computer Science background, preferably with a degree

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of professional experience
• 1+ years of experience with React, Ruby on Rails, and Go
• Computer Science background, preferably holding a relevant degree.
