Associate General Counsel

Job Summary:
We BeatBox Beverages is are a fun, fast-growing alcohol supplier seeking a highly skilled attorney with extensive experience in contract review, compliance, risk mitigation, and other aspects of corporate law to join our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, able to work independently or collaboratively as needed, and capable of managing a diverse and fast-moving array workload legal issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position does not currently have direct supervisory responsibilities but is subject to change as our the department continues to grow. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Meticulously review contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements and improve strengthen business points.
Conduct legal research on alcohol-related issues to inform sales and marketing practices and guide strategy.
Draft and update policies and procedures with a keen emphasis on risk mitigation, legal compliance, and usability.
Collaborate with the operations team, third parties, and agencies as needed on compliance issues.
Identify and assess legal risks, proposing  then collaborate on strategies to mitigate risks effectively.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Ability to handle various manage diverse array of legal responsibilities with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of in-house legal issues and systems (strong plus).
Strong understanding of alcohol laws and regulations, including compliance, trade practice, and franchise matters (strong plus).

Education/Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a legal role.
Experience with legal research and analysis, including statutes and regulations.
Law degree and bar admission in good standing.
Experience with in-house or corporate legal matters.
Knowledge and experience in the alcohol industry strongly preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
