Associate General Counsel

Salary: $150,000-$250,000

We’re looking to expand our team across the board. 
York Space Systems has an opening for an Associate General Counsel, reporting to and supporting the Chief Legal & Administrative Officer (CLAO). The work location is Greenwood Village, Colorado (no remote option). 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The individual will serve as a generalist responsible for providing support in a variety of areas, notably employment, intellectual property, and litigation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in one or more of the above subject matter areas.
• Track record of increasing responsibility in professional environments and of achieving superior results. 
• Ability to streamline processes and provide practical guidance. 
• Creative problem-solving and an aptitude for reducing the impact of issues on the business. 
• Comfort supporting rapid decision-making, sometimes based upon imperfect information. 
• Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in a fast-paced, high-growth organizational setting. 
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain composure in stressful situations. 
• Facility resolving complex matters through critical thinking, prioritization, and strategy. 
• Demonstrated excellence in writing and superior analytical skills. 
• Financial literacy, including the ability to apply a working knowledge of financial matters to promote and optimize business needs and results. 
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Supervisory experience and willingness and ability to manage and train junior members of the team.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks as well as to lead more complex projects. 
• Juris Doctor degree with eight (8) or more years of relevant experience.
• The ideal candidate will have both law firm and in-house experience.
