The Associate- Global Supply Coordinator Role provides the link between the Lilly Affiliates / Trading Companies and the Indy Device and Packaging (IDAP) site. The individual must fully understand and effectively represent the customers' needs internally to all levels and effectively communicate any supply issues to the customer. This role requires an understanding of the manufacturing processes within the site and an ability to communicate status with multiple customers and a passion to maintain the highest possible standard of customer service. This role must also embrace the latest technology and systems to develop new and innovative means of communication with customers that enhance the reputation of the site and deliver memorable service. The role requires a desire to understand the various customer requirements and be able to represent the Site in a highly professional, responsive, and detailed manner. The Associate- Global Supply Coordinator has detailed interactions with customers, IDAP, and International Distribution personnel to ensure orders deliver on-time and in-full to customer requirements. The Associate- Global Supply Coordinator is responsible for frequent, detailed communications with customers to ensure that customer's expectations are understood and fulfilled. The job holder will be responsible for multiple customers/geographic regions and must deliver performance ranked as the highest possible through feedback, metrics and other measures as judged by both customers and site management. The introduction of new and innovative mechanisms that deliver positive experiences and better commitments from the site is encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, enter and manage customer orders
- Represent customer throughout order process including prioritization and negotiations
- Communicate status to customers & internal resources (escalating issues as appropriate)
- Coordinate steps when expediting is required
- Work collaboratively to ensure order documentation requirements are met
- Establish effective internal relationships with key departments / functions
- Establish relationship with customers (international & domestic personnel)
- Support customer service metrics and performance indicators
- Monitor customer's forecasts, & service needs
- Influence internal performance to meet customer's needs
- Ensure compliance with customer contracts/supply agreements
- Know the impact on customers when production plans change
- Communicate regularly and proactively with customers
- Leverage knowledge of customers to improve the service levels provided
- Identify and proactively address customers' unmet needs
- Standardize and simplify routine or redundant operations across all CS regions.
- Responsible for the process flows followed by CS group.
- Identify and implement new processes that drive efficiency improvements in the group
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Manufacturing/supply chain experience preferred- familiarity with processes, systems & products
- Positive outlook & demonstrated customer service mindset
- Organizational skills, prioritization skills, and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work on multiple tasks without losing focus
- Initiative and ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
- Able to demonstrate teamwork, leadership and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships
- Recognition & appreciation of diversity - languages, culture, etc.
- PC and systems skills. Familiarity with SAP & demand management systems
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
Additional Preferences:
- Customer service experience
- International experience
- Distribution experience - familiarity with processes/systems
- Bi-lingual a plus
- APICS certification

- Infrequent international travel may be necessary (< 5%).
