Job Description
Ares Infrastructure Debt is hiring an Associate to join its team in NY. Ares Infrastructure Debt sources global assets and businesses with defensive characteristics across the digital, transport, energy and utility sectors. Through 21+ years of industry experience, we have established long standing relationships allowing us to seek to generate exclusive deal flow and high-quality investment opportunities.
Primary functions and essential responsibilities:
The candidate will work as an integral part of the Investment Team in New York, which is responsible for originating, structuring and executing new investments. Responsibilities will include financial and analytical support as part of lean investments teams (2-4 investment professionals) as well as the management of new and existing investments. The individual will support in the following areas:
- Build financial models and determine appropriate capital structure with acceptable levels of debt and equity.
- Perform in-depth diligence into investments, to develop a deep understanding of the merits and risks of potential investments.
- Prepare and present investment memos to the investment committee.
- Support deal execution and closing workstreams on new investments
- Conduct regular market research and competitor intelligence identifying trends and new business areas.
- Assist in the identification of opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of pitch proposals and marketing materials for new business activities.
- Support portfolio management for each investment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent
- Candidates will have 2-3 yearsβ experience from a top tier investment bank or private equity firm specializing in infrastructure project finance, M&A, corporate finance or investment.
- The candidate should possess strong finance and analytical abilities with strong financial modeling capabilities (in Excel). Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills are a must as well as the ability to confidently interact with senior management, investors and peers.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$155,000.00 - $165,000.00
