Associate IT Product Manager
Job Description
At WebTPA, we have a history of providing innovative solutions/products to the market that meets the needs and wants of our customers. As we look to continue to grow and enhance our offerings, we are in search of an entry-level product manager to join our multi-disciplinary product development squad. The Associate Product Manager brings fresh thinking and is willing to challenge the status quo and create a best in class experience for our customers. The Associate Product Manager will work closely with Product Managers and/or Sr Product Managers on large complex products. The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for driving portions of a large product initiative. The Associate PM will be lead: Ideation, Discovery, and Scoping Processes, Product Backlog and SCRUM Rituals. In addition, this role demonstrates, in a compelling fashion, ROI/cost-benefit rationale for the experience roadmap. The Associate Product Manager applies knowledge of product management and general knowledge of customer experience disciplines, the health insurance industry, and lean process thinking to participate in initiatives that span multiple functional areas and represent significant investment spend. On occasion the Associate PM may be asked to lead his/her own squad.
Essential Functions
- The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
- Lead and manage product features/functions, as part of a larger product initiative, ultimately responsible for planning and overseeing: definition, design, development, implementation, and integration of people, processes, and technology that lead to measurable outcomes. (50%)
- Partner closely with executive sponsor(s), business lead, segment leadership, and IT partners through key initiatives; serve as though partner to solving business problems. (10%)
- Responsible for gathering and synthesizing user feedback to translate into improvements, features and opportunities. (10%)
- Develop business plans for product features/functions and/or action plans including identification and establishment of objectives and establishment of parameters, budgets, deliverables, and deadlines. (10%)
- Provide regular updates to leadership on accomplishments of key milestones, as well as any risks or concerns. (5%)
- Maintain a prioritized backlog that aligns with available development capacity and maps to an overall solution roadmap. (5%)
- Work closely with product SCRUM Masters to drive product ceremonies. (5%)
- Writes tories that articulate work to be done by Development Team in support of solutions and production support. (5%)

Required Education
- Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Agile Operating model
- Strong Understanding of customer experience design principles and priorities around the customer journey: capturing voice of customer, drawing out customer insights, analyzing customer data, designing solutions, etc.
- Leadership skills to bring stakeholders together; consensus builder and thought leader.
- Must have a basic understanding of business principles, basic knowledge of health care and the ability to influence business decisions & directions for initiative.
- Understanding of projects with technology components (e.g., implementation lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, testing, etc.)
- Experience applying Customer Experience disciplines.
- Demonstrated success leading a matrixed team.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Hands-on experience is with proven track record of delivering business projects with technology components.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization.
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
- Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
- Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally
