Summary of Job:

The Associate IT Systems Specialist will serve as the initial point of contact for all IT infrastructure for offices across the organization. Will engage in efforts with the IT Team to secure the network, optimize up time for systems, manage desktops and machines for all users. Spends the majority of time on standard end user or IT support. This position will work out of our headquarters in Austin, TX.

Description of Job Duties:

  • Work with Information Security Team to develop and establish standards and procedures
  • Monitor, manage, and administer network, end-point & security devices
  • Handle laptop support and setup
  • Support VoIP phone systems
  • Google Workplace and Office 365 administration 
  • Security & Privacy operational reviews
  • Manage service and authorization requests
  • Manage outsourced services and vendors as needed
  • Continuously improve network, security and IT processes
  • Collaborate with development teams and provide infrastructure thought leadership
  • Automate internal processes using Python (and similar scripting languages), Zapier, and similar tools
  • Continuous tool evaluation to align with best practices and innovation
  • Logs and event management
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Education, Knowledge and Special Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of how to execute and improve the management of our IT infrastructure. 
  • Hands-on IT Support experience in a production environment
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10+ and MacOS systems
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, ICMP and TCP/IP protocols and applications
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructures such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and others.
  • Experience with SAML/SSO solutions such as JumpCloud
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management
  • Experience supporting one or more Linux distributions
  • Ability to resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical terminology to non-technical end users
  • Ability and desire to work a hybrid role out of our Austin, TX office.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform
  • Prior experience in the pharmacy industry
