Purpose:

The purpose of the Lilly Research Laboratories (LRL) Learning and Development Account Manager role is to implement learning and performance solutions. This role ensures LRL personnel are qualified and capable of performing their job responsibilities, fulfilling compliance requirements, and continually increasing their contribution to the business

Primary Responsibilities:

Learning and Performance Support

  • Build relationships with functional leaders and business partners, leveraging organizational knowledge to support business results by providing instructional design expertise, feedback, and guidance for content created by the business to ensure adherence to adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Apply effective project management to ensure timely delivery of the performance solution through development of innovative deliverables that provide meaningful and learner-centric solutions in cooperation with other L&D personnel and business partners
  • Conduct needs and target audience analysis to identify learning and performance gaps
  • Anticipate and resolve complex problems and serve as a key resource within a business area in regards to learning and performance support.
  • Effectively utilize technology to support development of learning and performance solutions (e.g., IT tools, video technology, MS PowerApps, etc.) and ensure they can be integrated with Lilly systems
  • Partner with Lilly select supplier and manage procurement activities, when needed
  • Manage budget for small- to medium-size projects or programs
  • Manage Transfer of Training to external partners, as appropriate
  • Support audits/inspection readiness and execution

Manage Curriculum and Assignment

  • Consult with business partners to establish and maintain a curriculum architecture consistent with the LRL strategy.
  • Lead efforts to define, maintain, and troubleshoot curriculum assignments to support personnel qualification.
  • Consult with business partners to ensure individual training plans align with job responsibilities and compliance needs.
  • Work with business SMEs to establish and/or maintain target audience definitions for curricula and courses owned by assigned customer group(s).
  • Partner with Strategic Learning Consultants (SLCs), the business, and/or outsourced suppliers for the effective and timely implementation/assignment of learning interventions, considering change impact on current population of (trained) learners and future/new learners.

Coaching and Personal Development

  • Establish a network of internal and external learning and business professionals and benchmark as appropriate

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2-3 years experience in learning and development portfolio and/or program/project management

Additional Preferences:

  • M.S. degree in Instructional Systems Technology, Adult Learning, or related experience/education
  • Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Certification
  • Working knowledge of and/or experience in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong business relationships, both internal to Lilly and with external collaborators
  • Demonstrated ability in communication, conflict resolution, using good judgment, and managing complexity
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to challenge business partners regarding ways to use learning interventions to most effectively meet business requirements
  • Knowledge of LRL business and structure
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft 365 apps (e.g. PowerApps, Power BI, Forms)
  • Experience with development and maintenance of Knowledge Management repositories.
  • Demonstrated ability to scope and lead projects
  • Demonstrated success in influencing without authority

Additional Information:

  • Role is hybrid role with majority of time onsite and Indianapolis based
  • Potential travel, less than 10%
