Job Description

The Associate Literature Production Manager will collaborate closely with internal creative and commercialization teams to oversee the creation and production of printed and digital literature, such as product catalogs, brochures, guides, sell sheets, and select training materials for Therma-Tru, Larson, Fiberon, Fypon and Solar Innovations brands within Fortune Brands Innovations.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective production of materials while upholding high standards of quality control and accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess keen attention to detail, excel under deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Associate Literature Production Manager will contribute to streamlining the literature process within the organization. Responsibilities include managing project schedules, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and assisting in budget management.

Location and Status: This role is a Hybrid position requiring full time presence in the office 3 days per week - Tue, Wed, Thu - while working remotely on Mondays and Fridays. The successful candidate must live within a commutable distance to our Maumee, OH offices.
Responsibilities:

  • Drive the literature creation process and schedule; communicate this openly with the business and execution partners and manage deadlines, deliverables, and all expectations.
  • Coordinate communication and relationships between internal creative team and external creative agencies or print vendors on shared projects.
  • Work in conjunction with Sales, Customer Service and the print and fulfillment vendor to facilitate efficient and effective annual literature distribution/mailing.
  • Oversee the expense budget for literature, including all paper, production, design, distribution, and fulfillment costs.
  • Facilitate quality checks on literature, including routing drafts for review, collecting and addressing feedback, obtaining proofs and validating all content for accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with Commercialization teammates to ensure new product additions are correctly captured in annually refreshed catalogs and literature. Work with Brand team to ensure brand guidelines and new initiatives are being correctly captured.
  • Regularly audit literature usage and evaluate opportunities for consolidation, discontinuation or creation of brand-new literature including brochures, catalogs, flyers, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Advertising, Marketing, Business, Design, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of business experience in Marketing or Communications, preferably with experience significantly contributing to or managing product-related literature. 
  • Experience managing literature or catalog projects, or large-scale production projects, in a creative internal or agency atmosphere is preferred.
  • Proven understanding of print and production processes, including file collection, sharing, specification, and delivery.
  • Demonstrated understanding of process management principles, including strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables from multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong organization, communications, and coordination skills; must be very detail oriented.
