We are looking for a Lilly Research Laboratories Learning and Development Account Associate-FDE to join the team and implement learning and performance solutions. This role provides support to ensure LRL personnel are qualified and capable of performing their job responsibilities, fulfilling compliance requirements, and continually increasing their contribution to the business.

The purpose of the LRL Learning and Development Associate-FDE role is to support the creation, coordination, target audience identification, and implementation of learning solutions and performance support interventions. The Associate assesses process, progress, and quality results against measured goals. This role is crucial to ensuring the success of learning solutions. The role will proactively anticipate and address challenges, collaborate with outsourced learning service providers, and seamlessly integrate new business processes as needed.

Learning and Development Project and Client Management
- Establish a strong relationship with the client areas supported. Develop a firm understanding of the business areas goals, priorities, roles, and business processes. Understand how client areas interact with other Lilly business areas.
- Cultivate a robust partnership with outsourced suppliers to ensure the on-time, on-budget creation of deliverables that: (a) adhere to quality expectations, (b) follow instructional design principles, (c) are approved by appropriate personnel, and (d) meet the needs of the business.
- For internally run projects, (a) communicate project status to business partners, (b) facilitate the review/approval process required to reconcile and resolve document issues, (c) anticipate, resolve, and/or call out issues as appropriate, and (d) complete the implementation plan(s).
- Benchmark internally and externally to: (a) stay abreast of learning solutions and technologies that provide the most effective learning methods, solutions, and outcomes and (b) seek best practices and identify replication opportunities.
- Surface ways to improve existing training and training assignment tools.
- Stay abreast of client training needs through regular discussion and interaction. Serve as L&D representative on appropriate client committees/councils.
- Implement centrally-developed process improvements (e.g., new LMS) across local business areas.
- Provide audit support.
Manage Curriculum and Assignment
- Consult with business partners to establish and maintain a curriculum architecture consistent with the LRL strategy.
- Lead efforts to define, maintain, and troubleshoot curriculum assignments to support personnel qualification.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure individual training plans align with job responsibilities and compliance needs.
- Work with business SMEs to establish and/or maintain target audience definitions for curricula and courses owned by assigned customer group(s).
- Partner with Strategic Learning Consultants (SLCs), the business, and/or outsourced suppliers for the effective and timely implementation/assignment of learning interventions, considering change impact on current population of (trained) learners and future/new learners.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of applicable learning and development experience or Master's Degree in relevant field
- This Position Is Not Permanent. It is for a fixed duration of 2 years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
Additional Preferences:
- Demonstrated expertise in current content development software (e.g. Articulate Storyline, or other systems) as well as performance consulting and instructional design
- Experience in portfolio and/or program/project management
- Experience with learning and development business processes
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong business relationships, both internal to Lilly and with external collaborators
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to challenge business partners regarding ways to use learning interventions to most effectively meet business requirements
- Experience with companion tools used to complete broader business processes (such as CAPA tools, document repositories)
- Experience in vendor oversight
- Ability to effectively partner globally and navigate complex, matrix-based organizations
- HPI Certification
- Some travel may be required
