Position Summary:

The macro strategy team is dedicated to formulating U.S. Fixed Income views; broad market strategy thought leadership and actionable macro trade ideas for our institutional clients. We are looking for an experienced associate, preferably with fixed income experience, to support the head of macro strategy.

In addition to gaining on the job training and market experience, the candidate will be a valued member of a larger institutional sales & trading organization that actively interacts with institutional clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support head of macro strategy with ad-hoc requests and excel charting needs
  • Maintain the monthly macro and markets related PowerPoint presentations
  • Identify and evaluate strategy opportunities in the US Fixed Income markets
  • Help develop market forecasts and over time co-author written strategy reports
  • Develop relationships with sales and trading to market our strategy content
  • Create algorithms, models and batch job functions for SQL databases/excel/R
  • Design tools, tables and charts to manipulate and analyze derived metrics

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and technical writing skills
  • Able to present well and communicate analysis clearly
  • Deliver on large multi-functional analytical projects
  • Accomplish ad-hoc and intra-day manager requests
  • Multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Apply statistical techniques on financial data
  • Knowledge of US Fixed Income markets a plus
  • Programming in R, Python and/or Perl a plus
  • Experience with Bloomberg, BI and Tableau a plus
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics and/or Data Science

The typical base pay range for this role is between $150K - $170K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
