Job Description

As an Associate Manager on our Category Strategy team, you will help lead category growth platform development by providing category programs and plans for a portfolio of our Frozen and Refrigerated brands, including iconic brands such as Reddi-Wip, Marie Callender's, Smart Balance, Earth Balance, Parkay, Blue Bonnet, Odom's Tennessee Pride, and Hebrew National. You will report to a Category Strategy Manager.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide category analysis and business impacts to the sales team, identifying opportunities to enhance customer/category goals and those of the company
  • Customize existing corporate category initiatives and plans to propel company and category sales at the customer
  • Help provide category insights to develop collaborative solutions
  • Assist team to exceed established shelving and merchandising goals
  • Provide category insights to the account in our priority categories, striving to, or confirming the position of lead vendor within the category review process
  • Work with internal partners and retailer contacts to develop and help implement category growth plans
  • Educate sales team on new item programs and category rationale for development; develop proposals for distribution and shelving changes to the account
  • Ensure category plans are delivered

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1-3+ years of consumer packaged goods (CPG) related experience in sales or analytical roles
  • Data integration and interpretation experience
  • Experience summarizing a holistic sales story from multiple sources of data, such as syndicated, loyalty, consumer and industry trends
  • Understanding the fundamentals of syndicated panel data
  • Experience working directly with customers in growing category sales
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, Nielsen/IRI; experience with space management tools helpful but not required
  • Customer loyalty card knowledge
  • Experience in Excel to develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and automate processes
  • Working knowledge of retail merchandising and in-store execution tactics
