Associate Manager, Pricing

Job Description

The Associate Manager, Pricing will help develop pricing strategies to drive store traffic, increase profitability, and offset inflation, while capturing the value of the innovation and value that Pizza Hut customers know and love. They'll play a key role in designing tests and conducting analysis to understand optimal pricing strategies informed by product and competitive price elasticates. In addition, they will be responsible for supporting marketing initiatives and programs, track their effectiveness and help craft promotions that help the organization meet its financial goals.

Job Description:

• Partner with IT to develop the underlying data structure and architecture to support pricing analytics
• Lead pricing analytics and develop insights and recommendations:
• Actively participate in the creation and management of pricing models to measure pricing across Pizza Hut restaurants
• Develop store-level and item-level price elasticities to help inform pricing actions
• Work with Data Science team to develop dashboards, reports and tools to help communicate store level pricing and promotions recommendations to Franchisees.
• Develop internal dashboards and reporting to support the broader business track success of pricing initiatives
• Leverage competitive pricing data already sourced to distill insights for comparable product and value competitiveness
• Perform cluster analyses in Python or R to assess menu price architecture across geographies based on projected elasticities and competition
• Evaluate the effectiveness of pricing actions by analyzing restaurant performance, flow through, trading relationships and impact to profit
• Track KPIs and macroeconomic indicators
• Conduct analysis and testing to determine optimal product price points
• Project-manage execution of pricing actions for Company-owned restaurants
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to distill insights and make actionable recommendations

Education:

• Degree in Finance, Marketing or Data science, or relevant work experience

FACTORS OF SUCCESS NECESSARY

Required:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience (Business Analytics, Revenue Management, Data Analytics, etc.)
• Superb analytical skills with demonstrated success analyzing large data sets and building data models to solve business challenges
• Ability to work well in a team environment and partner cross functionally
• Great organizational skills, with ability to work independently and multi-task in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills

Preferred:

• Experience with SQL, Snowflake/PowerBI and/or Python/R modeling & analysis
• Tableau
• Alteryx
