Associate Manager, Quality Engineering

About the Job:

The Red Hat UXE P Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for an Associate Manager, Quality Engineering to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will manage a team of highly technical associates who are responsible for providing excellent service for our enterprise customers. You'll work with your peers around the world to guide initiatives and continually develop technical team members. We will need you to have experience managing teams in a technological, fast-paced environment, combined with a passion for improving the customer experience.

What will you do?

• Directs the activities of a software quality assurance function. 

• Develops quality standards for company products and oversees the development and execution of software test plans and analysis of test results. 

• Provides guidance in the preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages and systems, computational software, and related technology. 

• May oversee the integration of computers in the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition transmission, and processing. 

• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 

What will you bring?

• 1+ years experience managing engineering teams

• Must be comfortable managing distributed, remote staff

• Ability to understand and discuss deep technical issues with engineers

• Demonstrated experience with contemporary project management methodologies such as Agile, kanban and / or scrum

• Hands-on experience with a programming language: Java or python.

• Experience of APIs, HTTP communication and Performance testing of web applications

• Work experience in UI test automation and API test automation and designing frameworks

• Expert of software testing and engineering concepts

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management.
