Job Description

The Opportunity:

As our Associate Sales Manager, you will lead and manage distributor partnerships across Southeast Asia, with a focus on Thailand, Vietnam, and surrounding markets.

This role will be responsible for achieving sales, margin, and operating income (OI) targets, while building a robust and sustainable distribution network.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Business & Sales Planning

  • Collaborate and develop distributors to strengthen the business profitability.
  • Formulate Joint Business Plan with business partners, and review customer performance regularly with distributor and management.
  • Adopt appropriate business models with focus on sales & profitability in line with launching of new product lines via new and existing channels.
  • Increase the depth and breadth for our brands in the retail space in distributor’s network and support pitching to key accounts when necessary.
  • Build business development capability on Ecommerce through on-line distribution channels.
  • Provide sales perspective on product performance, promotion, distribution and local pricing decisions in business team discussions.
  • Pursue synergy and sales opportunities for both toy and licensing business. 

Customer Service

  • Develop and maintain an on-going professional relationship with distributors’ key contacts.
  • Liaise with distributor representatives across relevant departments including management team, regional marketing team, regional planning & logistics, finance.
  • Liaise with the Logistics Team to ensure that customer and distributor supply requirements are achievable, communicate on shipment plans.

Forecasting

  • Provide accurate sales data and market intelligence to facilitate effective inventory planning and stock management decisions in quota review meetings.
  • Set up and maintain up-to-date sales forecasts regularly and as required by the Sales leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in FMCG, with a proven track record of success.
  • Deep knowledge of distribution, sales management, and experience in merchandising and trade marketing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of eCommerce dynamics.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of leading organizational change.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; fluency in English required; local language proficiency a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region.
