Associate Manager, Software Engineering

• Lead a team to design, implement, and deploy high-quality, large-scale systems and services in support of community financial institutions and fintechs 
• Lead the definition of secure, scalable, and low-latency services and efficient physical processes 
• Work with cross-functional teams delivering on demanding projects 
• Manage the day-today development activities for your team 
• Understand system interdependencies and limitations 

• Work with stakeholders to establish timelines for new projects 
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospective and daily scrum meetings 
• Instill best practices for software development 
• Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to established standards 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: 

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and up to 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience; or equivalent relevant work experience 
• People management experience and/or exhibited leadership skills 
• Expert knowledge of software development, testing, and maintenance 

• Knowledge and experience with mobile development practices 
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate technical discussions and drive solutions forward to achieve business needs 
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis 
• Experience with scaling and performance of large systems 
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills 

• Obsession with quality - attention to detail coupled with the ability to think abstractly 
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills 
• Knowledge and experience with automation preferred 
• Knowledge and experience in the banking industry preferred
