Associate Manager, Software Engineering

The Red Hat Software Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join us in the United States , Eastern Time Zone, where Red Hat is licensed to do business. In this role, you will be responsible for teams working on product development of developer offerings on Ansible. You'll ensure a good balance between productization and community participation of engineers, ensuring contributions to both. As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing large teams.

What you will do

• Lead a global engineering CI/CD team to design / develop / deliver / support Ansible Automation Platform features and releases, manage resource planning and allocation, and provide team leadership
• Create an open, diverse, and inclusive team environment
• Coach and provide feedback to associates, and support their career development and growth
• Contribute to defining the strategy, working with product management to prioritize and align feature plans to the business objectives
• Closely collaborate with other engineering, product management, design, documentation, quality engineering, sales, support, and marketing teams
• Deliver high quality, performant, and scalable solutions for management of Red Hat OpenShift platform and other public Kubernetes solutions
• Design, deploy, manage and support CI/CD pipelines and processes that enable Ansible Automation Platform to be delivered quickly and with a good level of quality.
• Build organization capability and talent management practices to attract and retain the best engineering professionals to deliver against plan and strategy
• Continuously learn about Red Hat offerings, industry knowledge of the latest technology trends, and customer/market requirements

• High-level analytical capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to deep-dive into architectural and technical discussions
• Technical knowledge of Jenkins or any other CI/CD system or tools is a plus
• Technical knowledge of Kubernetes; Red Hat OpenShift is a plus

The salary range for this position is $125,760- $ 150,000. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
