Position: Associate of Quantitative Analysis
Location: Atlanta, GA
Overview: GreenSky is a fast-paced, innovative, and growing disruptor in the Financial Technology space. You will be part of a team that leverages analytics to drive growth and innovation. We are looking for candidates who have strong quantitative skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn. We have different roles where Analysts can contribute such as credit policy, valuations, collections analytics, operations analytics, fraud analytics, and sales and marketing analytics. We are a data driven company so there will be no shortage of interesting questions to answer!
Organizational: This position is a member of the corporate forecasting team.
Potential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducts analyses in areas of consumer behavioral analytics and business forecasting, and enhances the analytical forecasting framework
- Provide valuable insights using data-driven statistical or machine learning analytics to help identify and resolve issues relating to risk and profitability
- Autonomously solves defined business problems or analysis
- Effectively communicate and defend analysis using written, oral, and visual media
- Support the business and senior leadership by performing ad-hoc analysis and reporting
- Partner with internal affiliates to further business understanding and facilitate inter-departmental insight
- Monitor key business KPI's and report on business objectives
- Acquire expertise in products, processes and strategies
- Be the trusted internal resource by demonstrating a deep understanding in your area of ownership
Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science related field
- Exposure to high-level programing language such as Python, and SQL.
- Eager to learn about financial services and consumer lending
- Ability to collaborate and work with other analysts on the team
- Clear and concise communicator (both written and oral)
- Detail oriented
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Two-to-three-year experience in sophisticated financial modeling and / or data analytics for consumer or wholesale products
- PhD's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Math, Computational Finance, or Applied Physics.
