Associate Oracle Developer/Analyst

Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for the development and support of the Oracle E Business Suite of applications used at Banner.
Specifically, the developer will maintain and support the Oracle E-Business Suite of applications. This includes designing and implementing functional and maintainable enhancements to Oracle, maintaining the data within the application and creating any permanent or adhoc reports to help with the stability of the Oracle applications. Banner standard software development life cycle practices will be followed. The developer will prepare required documentation. The developer will support existing applications to correct errors and improve application performance. This position will work with business personnel, business analysts, the Solution Architect, the Manager of Application Development and Support and the VP of IT to communicate application and project status.
This position reports to the Manager of Application Development and Support.
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

What You'll Be Doing
- Able to perform items in the functions and duties of the job description. Works under the direction of the manager or senior developer
- Consult with business analysts, engineers, programmers, managers and others to design applications and interfaces
- Design, develop, implement and maintain applications, tools and databases using Oracle and Oracle EBS
- Design, develop, implement and maintain applications, tools and databases that integrates Oracle EBS with other applications
- Provide database design capabilities
- Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions that describes input, output and logical operation per Banner standards
- Insert comments in the physical code so others can understand the program
- Develop unit and functional test plans
- Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of Banner's business practices, products and customers
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and management
- Be available for on-call support
- Other duties as assigned

Required
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field preferred
- None to two years of experience working with Oracle Applications
- Basic knowledge of Oracle Applications, Oracle database, JAVA, JavaScript, XML,PL/SQL, SQL and HTML is a plus
- Maintains currency in emerging industry and process best practices and technology enablers
- Understanding of software development and maintenance lifecycles
- Knowledge of underlying database structures - schemas, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes and constraints
- Highly motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to deliver quality, on-time results
- Must be well organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Manufacturing industry experience a strong plus
