ProbablyMonsters is looking for a creative, technical, and collaborative Associate Org Director. You will join a team concentrated on building new game concepts and worlds centered around a focused player experience. As part of the Incubation team, you'll have the freedom to create, experiment, and try new game ideas while forming new franchises and development teams. Everyone on the Incubation team is enthusiastic about helping to shape a culture of collaboration and trust while creating best-in-class games.

We are seeking an Associate Org Director who is experienced in growing and developing individuals and teams in a creative environment with a focus on culture and team health. You will embody our mission, vision and values and strengthen them in our studio, as well as being an evangelist for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The salary range for this position is $169,000 to $262,000. This range represents the salary for the position commensurate with experience, knowledge, and demonstrated success in the field.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Team Coaching & Psychological Safety: our team is highly collaborative, so team cohesiveness, effectiveness and psychological safety is paramount. You'll help to facilitate working sessions with teams to strengthen working relationships, build empathy, understand each other's communication and working styles, and resolve conflict in a healthy way.
  • Individual empowerment: Every single person at our studio should feel empowered to do the best work of their lives, to feel challenged and fulfilled. Your goal is to connect each person to their purpose and meaning through their work. You'll have periodic 1:1s with the team to coach them in understanding their own personal intrinsic drivers and how they can make an impact at our team.
  • Developing Leaders: build skills in coaching, inspiring, and empowering others, as well as covering topics such as emotional intelligence, difficult conversations, and staying calm under pressure. You will coach leaders to set personal and professional goals and create actionable plans for achieving them.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Share our culture, values, and internal coaching at the studio via asynchronous docs or other formats as well as externally.
  • Collaborate in a team environment: you'll be a key partner with the Production and People team, working together to ensure we are having the maximum positive impact at the studio.
  • Continually streamline and optimize team operational processes, including establishing a practice of confidentiality that is understood by team members and adhered to.
  • Ensure overall program health and efficacy, including establishing internal metrics and assessment in harmony with company priorities. Provide regular data reporting, sharing insights on the impact of coaching with leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years in a people-oriented role such as a people manager or HR partner.
  • In-depth knowledge of People policy development and its effects on a team.
  • Experience partnering with game teams during various phases of development.
  • High "EQ" with a strong ability to coach, guide, mentor, and arbitrate varying team dynamics.
  • The capability to build strong personal relationships and to focus on incrementally working towards goals and evolving and improving both programs and people.
  • Have a solution-oriented mindset: you love thinking on your feet, inventing, and ideating creative solutions to achieve outcomes for people, teams, and the studio.
PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiar with game development best practices throughout all phases of the dev life cycle.
  • Strong ability to influence and mentor others to navigate through the people-related dynamics of game development.
  • Graduate level work in the fields of organizational psychology or leadership development.
