What You’ll Do

In the Agile Delivery role, you will ensure the teams’ success by leveraging the appropriate Agile methodology to enable predictable, quality delivery while maintaining a focus on the continuous improvement of the team. The Agile Delivery SME will optimize team productivity by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Delivery

  • Support one or more software engineering team using agile processes
  • Ensure team maintains focus on quality and continuous improvement
  • Lead Agile methodology, including sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives, and daily standups
  • Provides visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress
  • Is well managed – understands and coaches the team on delivery controls, compliance to minimize operational, and reputational risk
  • Understands domain architecture and upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Supports team automation (testing, pipelines, deployments)/DevOps journey
  • Supports team to remove impediments and manage dependencies for delivery

Coaching and Continuous Improvement

  • Integrates Agile and Lean principles into team practices and work products
  • Coaches Product team on backlog refinement and prioritization
  • Utilizes team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve
  • Innovates with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery
  • Developing understanding and encouragement of team's innovation and improvement
  • Coaches the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
  • Communicates with leaders across the organization on a regular basis to ensure transparency into delivery, risks, issues, etc.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Agile Delivery experience utilizing Scrum or Kanban Delivery
  • 2+ years of experience with Atlassian Jira and confluence
  • 2+ years of experience working with Software Delivery Teams
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Ability to work with and lead a team
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Team player – humble, collaborative, and focused on making sure the entire team succeeds.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred

Certificates or Licenses

Desired:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Project Management Institute's (PMI)’s, or Agile Certified Professional (ACP) certification(s)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

SAFe certification or experience, or other scaled agile frameworks
