How you will contribute
This position is for an Associate Principal Engineer supporting the NA Region Biscuit R&D Process Development. Projects will focus on Innovation, process optimization, and quality improvement and product alternative line qualification. The candidate will be responsible for the Product Quality, Specifications and Consumer action standards, optimization, and commercialization of new snack products related to the Biscuit category. This position allows the candidate to develop and drive growth opportunities within the Supply Chain Reinvention group. This position will have the opportunity to work on multiple brands across and build strong relationships across R&D, with suppliers, Co-manufacturers, the Business, Research, etc.

This role is responsible for execution of plant trials and coordinating the work of others completing similar activities on a daily basis across both Product and Packaging teams. They must also develop and manage project plans and timelines ensuring that activities are delivered on time. They will be responsible to communicate the plan with team and management. They will be the key point contact for quality and support Quality Audits and assessments. Candidates should possess strong technical and project management skills, and effective communication skills, and able to be a Digital ambassador for the group leading programs to increase digital maturity of the overall group.
The candidate must be able to assess testing plans, gather and analyze data and make recommendations based on findings. While the candidate will be a member of a new products team, they will need to be able to lead their assigned projects and collaborate with cross functional team members.
The candidate must possess some experience in ingredient functionality, formulation, and commercialization. The individual must be able to write detailed process specifications and project reports and is able to support Quality and Manufacturing needs as it relates to their projects.

Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in food engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
Job specific requirements:
A minimum of 7-10 years of product/ process development or quality experience is required preferably in the food industry.
