Experts in CRA’s Forensic Services practice provide independent technical accounting and forensic expertise in complex litigation, internal investigation, and white-collar defense matters. Job Overview
We seek an Associate Principal to join our Chicago office. As a firm we offer a top-notch experience for consultants: analytic rigor, project and team leadership roles, and resources to support professional growth. Associate Principal responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Investigate accounting irregularities and respond to allegations of fraud, misconduct, waste, abuse, and non-compliance;
- Utilize database technology experience to analyze large data sets, including identifying relationships among multiple sources and types of information to facilitate effective data analysis;
- Independently conceptualize and identify issues, designing complex financial models to analyze data, and overseeing the creation of analyses by junior staff;
- Summarize key issues identified from the review of client documents, analyst reports, and third party financial, market and industry data;
- Effectively plan and manage assigned projects, including management of the work of junior staff team members;
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients and assisting in the presentation of our findings and recommendations to clients;
- Create and develop client deliverables, including expert reports summarizing our opinions or fact-based reports summarizing our findings;
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions;
- Assist with practice-wide recruiting and training efforts.
 Qualifications
- Earned Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field;
- 8-12 years of experience consulting on forensic and/or data projects with proven project management skills;
- Experience with SQL, command line scripting, Perl, Python, or other programming languages preferred;
- Experience working with various operating and file systems, computer networks, e-mail systems, and mobile devices;
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage multiple projects and meet timely deadlines;
- Rigorous organizational skills and attention to detail in all facets of work;
- Effective communicator and collaborator who enjoys working with teams;
- Ability and willingness to travel for client projects.
