Associate Principal, Member Services
Job Description
What You'll Do:
This role's primary responsibility is to be a leader in the team that maintains exceptionally high levels of client satisfaction by enhancing the Clearing Member's experience with clearing both existing and new products. The role requires a strong understanding of the industry and OCC's products, systems, and processes which allow for superior support being provided to members with operational questions or issues, including research and analysis of trade and position data. Responsibilities also include working independently to manage relationships, support initiatives, prepare written documentation and present training on operational processing services and system capabilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
- Maintain relationships with approximately 15 clients per person, including key clients
- Assist team members with responding to complex inquiries and resolve problems independently through explanation of facts and details; explain trade processing and clearing, corporate actions, data transmission technical specifications, etc.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding and skills in OCC cleared products and systems with the ability to apply that knowledge and skills to a range of standard and non-standard situations
- Drive team's ability to effectively interpret Clearing Member needs, assess requirements and identify solutions to non-standard requests
- Work with Clearing Members to make sure solution meets their needs
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of client businesses across numerous OCC memberships
- Support professionals that gather and analyze pertinent information about Clearing Member's business in order to anticipate the needs of the members and increase the Clearing Member's satisfaction
- Implement procedures for client visits by leading meetings with senior management at client offices
- Support development of analyses of member performance and develop recommendations for improvement
- Coordinate activities related to account changes, terminations and business expansions, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with procedures and in a professional timely manner
- Respond frequently to routine Clearing Member inquiries received via phone or email and coordinate resolution with the appropriate department
- Maintain and update Clearing Member information in CRM system and other databases
- Analyze firm data and identify trends
- Lead training sessions to educate clients on new and existing products, services or enhancements; coordinate roll out and training materials. This includes information memos, operations manuals, user guides and in person/online presentations
- Act as an advocate and internal representative for Clearing Members so their product and service needs are communicated internally as necessary ensuring that the Clearing Member's needs are addressed
- Perform Masterfile account updates and verification of changes for members
- Assist with departmental self- testing and writing of procedures and job aids

Technical Skills:

Education and/or Experience:
