What You'll Do
This role is responsible for leading and maintaining balanced control of both Business as usual (BAU) and Projects throughout OCCs complex network infrastructure. Through use of the tools available at OCC, this position will support the Network Infrastructure Teams, by maintaining analysis and control of our resource utilization throughout the different Network workflows, to include OCC Company Wide Projects, Internal Projects, External Projects, BAU and Security driven work.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
  • Lead and/or Support the Identification and planning of all work streams, working with the team to plan resources, identify key milestones and manage dependencies.
  • Supports the design of process performance management tools and metrics.
  • Assists in root cause analysis efforts for identified issues, document, and present recommended solutions.
  • Identifies and records process pain points, quality issues, inefficiencies, non-value add activities, and performance gaps.
  • Leads or Supports Projects, ensuring proper planning, resource allocation and project scoping is completed.
  • Leads or Supports Project execution activities and contribute to completion of project closure.
  • Works with the team to identify risks, track and resolve issues, and eliminate project challenges.
  • Consistently monitors and reports on the progress and status of all work streams.
  • Coordinates and responds to changes including escalating issues and decisions as needed.
  • Provides administrative support as needed, such as organizing project files, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Uses traditional and Agile project/product approaches to execute projects and achieve business outcomes.

  • [Required] Advanced familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • [Preferred] Familiarity with and/or training in Lean transformation, Lean/Six Sigma, or Business Process Management concepts
  • [Required] Proven ability to manage a project in various stages of the project life cycle from initiation through completion.
  • [Required] Experience creating process improvement artifacts (e.g., flow charts, value chains, and other diagrams) to communicate process and process change
  • [Required] Ability to prioritize critical versus non-critical issues and communicate effectively to management
  • [Required] Proven ability to contribute consistently and positively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment
  • [Required] Proven ability to facilitate project alignment between business and technical teams.
  • [Required] Demonstrated ability to dig beyond the surface to uncover root causes and offer solutions that could deliver effective and efficient outcomes
  • [Required] Experience operating in a collaborative environment to solve cross-functional problems

Technical Skills:
  • [Required] Experience using Agile Methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • [Required] Experience working with Infrastructure Technologies and Teams.
  • [Required] Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • [Required] Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint (or Similar PPM tool)
  • [Required] Experience using Service-now or similar

Education and/or Experience:
  • [Required] 5+ Experience in Project Management or Process Improvement roles

Certificates or Licenses:
  • [Preferred] Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • [Preferred] Process improvement certifications such as Lean/Six Sigma
  • [Preferred] IT service or process management certifications such as ITIL or ITAM
