Job Description

Summary
This candidate will be part of an enterprise DevOps team to develop tools and CI/CD framework that accelerate development, testing, and deployment of applications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop tools and CI/CD framework to make it easier for teams to build, configure, and deploy applications
  • Provide build pipelines, verification & promotion pipelines, and automated delivery tools with level II support including bug fixes and new features as necessary
  • Write unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks
  • Assist Product Owner with Jira story creation and refinement
  • Perform thorough code-reviews based on high engineering standards
  • Mentor junior developers and present technological concepts/demos to business and technology stakeholders as needed
  • Troubleshoot environments as problems arise, test fixes, and perform follow-up to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years programming experience
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile and DevOps cultures, focusing on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation and process improvement
  • Experience working both independently and well as collaborating in a fast-paced, change-oriented, and demanding IT environment with a strong focus on business outcomes
  • Self-starter - takes the initiative to research, learn, and deliver. Anticipates the play.
  • Team player - humble, collaborative, and focused on making sure the entire team succeeds

Technical Skill
  • 5+ years programming experience developing in Python and/or Java (with at least 1 year Python)
  • 4+ years hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and technologies such as GitHub, Make, Docker, Compose, and Artifactory
  • 3+ years hands-on experience using Jenkins pipelines
  • 3+ years hands-on experience using Terraform (Enterprise preferred)
  • 3+ years hands-on experience using Kubernetes and Helm
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests with frameworks such as pytest and unittest
  • Experience working with cloud ecosystems (AWS preferred

Education and/or Training
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or equivalent work experience)

Certificates or Licenses
  • Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect and/or Developer Associate preferred
