Vivint Technology Associate Product Manager, Revenue

Summary:

Vivint Technology (VT) Product Managers are responsible for leading cross-functional project teams comprised of Business and Technology members to deliver solutions supporting key business and technology objectives. They are responsible for managing projects within their assigned product through the full project life cycle including planning, prioritizing, scoping, requirements elicitation, resourcing, development, testing, and deployment. A Vivint Technology Product Manager within Revenue partners with business stakeholders in each of the supported channels respective areas to understand the business drivers of a program and build requirements for technology delivery. They lead and manage projects on enterprise software products and platforms supporting these functions. A Vivint Technology Product Manager within Revenue coordinates with individual contributor through director-level resources.

A Vivint Technology Product Manager within Revenue works with the Vivint Technology Program Managers to define and deliver on the agreed product vision and roadmap: taking specific product features from requirements definition, specification development, user story authoring, backlog prioritization through engaging with the engineering/development teams to code user stories. Through this process, the Vivint Technology Product Manager will ensure that reliability, performance, and quality are built to Vivint's world-class standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand and contribute to the vision and roadmap of assigned product with a constant eye on continuous delivery of value and engineering action
  • Own and manage partner relationships for specific engagements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams of business analysts, designers, data engineers and Quality Assurance to ensure delivery against product roadmap
  • Build and maintain relationships across organizations, with teams, and individuals
  • Prioritize development items to align with the roadmap
  • Manage releases to ensure delivery, coordinating milestones across teams
  • Identify risks, issues, and problems and escalate as appropriate, proposing mitigation plans to overcome obstacles


Required Skills:
  • Ability to clearly communicate across levels of the organization and departments in writing, orally and interpersonally
  • Strong meeting facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Lead by influence without direct authority
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • Effective planning and execution skills - ability to define and articulate a strong vision, create an actionable roadmap and drive the team to execute
  • Effective storytelling, presentation skills. You're able to define a plan and rally the team behind it.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities, including multiple products
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Decisive, and able to eloquently defend your decisions


Required Education/Experience:
  • 3+ years of technical product/program management
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence/SmartSheet

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
