The team
Product Management primarily focused on the regulated products and services offered by Morningstar Wealth, we are responsible for ensuring they are performing as expected, delivering good customer outcomes, external positioning is optimized and opportunities for enhancements identified.
The Role:
We are looking for an individual to assist with the product management and operational governance requirements of Morningstar Wealth business. Responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of a variety of activities undertaken within the Product Management team. This will require working with a broad range of stakeholders, internal and external and gaining detailed knowledge and understanding of all aspect of the products offered by Morningstar Wealth and the customer needs they are designed to meet. The work will cover everything from analysing product data to identify trends and outliers, supporting preparation of Platform and Investment Management board reports, managing governance processes and ensuring products and services are positioned appropriately to external audience.
This is a newly created role, within a newly formed team and represents the ideal opportunity for someone with an interest in financial services who is either looking to take the next step up or take their career in a different direction. This position will be based in either the London or Edinburgh office.
Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Product Managers with data and insights needed to maintain existing on sale product solutions, inform recommendations for enhancements and product strategy.
  • Own maintenance and development of key product documentation to ensure it remains up to date with latest regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Undertake regular market and competitor analysis to ensure trends are identified and action can be taken to increase competitive positioning.
  • Organise and manage effective running of key product Proposition governance committees to ensure effective oversight and decision making is maintained and can be evidenced.
  • Provide product technical expertise and support for other functions, including Development squads, sales and operational teams in support of Morningstar Wealth's commercial objectives.
  • Responsible for the accurate and positive positioning of Morningstar Wealth Products and Services on 3rd Party research and comparison tools.


Experience/Qualifications:

  • Proven skills in planning and organising.
  • Effective communicator using a variety of mediums.
  • Awareness of retail financial services and products and the investor needs they are designed to meet.
  • Awareness of regulatory landscape and importance.
  • Willingness to obtain relevant qualifications based on needs of the role and future career aspirations.
  • Experience of working with data and presenting results in a relevant, compelling manor.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
