At Yext, the product team oversees the entire product development lifecycle. We work closely with customers and partners to understand their problems and invent solutions; we work with UI/UX design to create new product features; we work with engineering to build features and manage prioritization; and we work with sales and marketing to launch and promote new features. As an Associate Product Manager, you will assist with every aspect of this process. APMs will focus on and eventually own a single product area under the direction of a senior member of the product team.
What Youβll Do
- Investigate and analyze requests from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, design features to solve these problems, and drive their implementation.
- Contribute to company-level product planning and execution by developing concepts into specs, evaluating them, and participating to build a strategic product roadmap.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to design new features, providing an intuitive and flexible user experience.
- Manage large engineering projects by collaborating with engineering leaders and advising on prioritization.
- Follow industry trends through complementary and competitive product exploration, partner meetings, conference attendance, and investigation of new technology
- Coordinate feature launches, including orchestrating testing, documentation, training, rollout sequencing, customer communication, and adoption measurement
- Help create sales and marketing materials for new features, as well as enabling the rest of the company on selling and servicing new features.
- Conduct data-driven analysis of product features and customer data using tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, and Python.
- Write guides, training, and other public documentation for product features.
What You Have
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or similar college level education.
- Ability to learn complex systems and technical concepts quickly, ask the right questions, and be extremely curious.
- Data Modeling Intuition and Expertise - the Knowledge Graph is at the heart of all Yext products, and you will need to be able to make product decisions which ensure the data model is optimized across all downstream experiences
- Technical inclination and familiarity - you donβt need to be a software engineer, but you should have experience writing scripts, working with APIs, modeling data in JSON
- Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to decide what to do without being told what to do.
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication. Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences, ranging from customers to engineers to C-Suite executives.
- Time-management skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects and synthesize requests from many different stakeholders.
- Ability to code is not required but a plus. Most relevant frameworks/languages include Javascript, Typescript, Python, SQL, and React.
