Associate Product Manager Job Description
- Perform current state analysis, requirements analysis, gap analysis, risk assessment, and other related tasks as needed per project requirementsÂ
- Research, interpret and translate immigration process requirements for various geographies and application processesÂ
- Write clear, complete functional specifications and system use cases for business requirements and high-level design documentationÂ
- Drive conversations with multiple stakeholders to logical agreement around product direction, messaging, positioning and go-to-market strategiesÂ
- Partner with product managers to execute a roadmap from discovery to deployment. Â
- Analyze new ideas and change requests to determine potential solutions and prioritize based on business need, effort/impact and scaleÂ
- Perform impact analysis to data and systems resulting from new projects and enhancementsÂ
- Provide subject matter expertise to recommend appropriate functional solutions to new requirements based on best practices and functionality.Â
- Act as a single point of contact for business requirements and represent the end user in the product development processÂ
- Validating that solutions developed meet business requirements prior to UAT (user acceptance testing)Â
- Interact with a global customer base for project discovery, client working groups, validation of customer adoption and successÂ
- Present / demo functionality to customers, prospects, peers and leadershipÂ
Desired Skills and Experience
- 4-6 years of experience as a business analyst or related role in a commercial product environment Â
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on user-centered discovery and production definition experienceÂ
- Comfortable communicating to internal and external stakeholders at various levelsÂ
- Familiar with common development and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Aha!, and Productboard (not mandatory)Â
- Knowledge of methodologies for prioritizationÂ
- Strong project management skills: document, socialize & archive product artifactsÂ
- Familiarity with platform product strategy, packaging & development execution (not mandatory)Â
- Ability to conceptualize, visualize and articulate product ideasÂ
- Proven ability to execute multiple deliverables concurrently with strong attention to detailÂ
- Proactive, self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidanceÂ
- Prior experience or background with global immigration business processes (not mandatory)Â
