Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Product Management team for IBM Event Automation. IBM Event Automation is a fully composable event-driven solution designed to put business events to work by enabling users to detect situations act in real-time and automate decisions. It enables companies to accelerate time to market and competitive effectiveness with capabilities that unlock the value of events by seamlessly integrating into existing systems.

As an Associate Product Manager you would be supporting Event Automation Product Management colleagues to deliver successful business results whilst gaining exposure to all aspects of the discipline including:

• Connecting with customers prospects and other market stakeholders to identify needs validate market requirements and quantify opportunities
• Performing competitor analysis and promoting unique IBM competencies
• Prioritizing requirements gathered from customer partner and other market feedback to maximize development investments
• Building packaging and pricing as appropriate to market conditions
• Analyzing the financial aspects of product development and delivery to reduce cost and ensure profitability
• Developing clear messaging that will fuel the sales and marketing assets in support of launching products into the market.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3-5 years of industry experience preferably in Product Management for Enterprise B2B products or SaaS products – managing product roadmaps collaborating with engineering teams and translating complex technical requirements into actionable product features
• Strong general business interest
• Ability to perform fact-based research and derive insights
• Solid communication skills and willingness to engage with our customers and users
• Technical aptitude and an interest in technology”

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Familiarity and understanding of Cloud technologies. Understanding and experience with Event Driven and Integration technologies such as Kafka Message Queuing APIs Application Integration.
