Associate Product Manager - US - Apex, NC

The Blueprint (Role Profile)

Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing and based inApex, NC, the Associate Product Manager is responsible supporting theplanning and execution of strategic product road mapping for branded products.This work includes collecting quantitative product data and metrics,synthesizing customer research, gathering requirements, and coordinating withstakeholders.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Assist with newproduct development concepts, capture VOC (voice of the customer requirements),work with channel managers on commercialization and launch plans.
  • Support variousstrategic projects and initiatives to grow product line sales.
  • Conduct business anddata analysis to support key initiatives for marketing and sales strategiesincluding implementation activities required to support and grow key accounts.
  • Support product strategy development with product categoryand competitive analysis.
  • Execute all materials required for new product launches asdefined by product category responsibilities - sell sheets, photography, video,web content, launch pitches, and social media support.
  • Serve as Brand Ambassador, upholding brand vision inproducts, packaging, presentations, and advertising. Attend trade shows andproviding training support as subject matter expert on productpresentations.
  • Maintain correct product portfolio information for use incatalogue production and the website. Initiate required bill-of-materialschanges, product discontinuances, packaging upgrades/modifications includingexecuting new packaging.
  • Oversee product specification changes, deviations, andresponses to Critical to Quality attributes as defined by product categoryresponsibilities.
  • Display strong initiative and leadership skills to driveSBU priorities throughout the organization.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor'sdegree in marketing preferred.
  • Oneto three years of marketing experience in a channel or product role preferred.
  • Understandingof Marketing Principles (Product, Packaging, Price, Positioning, Point of Saleand Promotion).
  • Priorexperience working on a cross functional team preferred.
  • Abilityto prioritize and keep work moving on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strongorganization and project management skills to ensure team members are alignedand multiple projects are driven forward towards completion.
  • Advanced communication skills -written verbal and electronic (Microsoft Suite, SAP, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical skills -proficient use of data to support decision making and solve problems.
