The Associate Product Manager for the Residential product segment is responsible for delivering business value to drive sales through product development by meeting the customer needs. This includes execution of new product innovation, product marketing and financial analysis, profitability, innovative product design, marketing communication and collateral development and support for assigned products. The ideal candidate is someone wanting to learn and grow their career.

Responsibilities

• Manages cross functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute product strategy; provides education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or customer needs.
• Exhibit active listening, facilitate sessions, and clearly communicate at all levels (executive level leadership, sales, R&D, etc.) the product's long term strategy which is used to prioritize short-term action.
• Gains a thorough understanding of customer and other key personas' needs, both existing and potential, and uses that knowledge to help successful products.
• Translates business goals and customer needs into product strategy; communicates direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners.
• Support in developing comprehensive marketing plans including value proposition, messaging, key claims, customer segmentation and targeting, and pricing strategy.
• Develop product launch strategy and partner with channel marketing on required marketing materials for new product launch.
• Provides information for executive management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, including phase gate presentations and business cases for new products.
• Introduces new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and production.
• Maintains product expertise and education of employees.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in a Marketing or Business-related field preferred
• 2+ years experience in product management or related type role is preferred
• Good working knowledge of Excel and/or other statistical software
• Product line and business strategy acumen
• Able to work in a team atmosphere with little supervision and establish excellent working relationships
• Self-starter with strong leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and meeting facilitation skills required to lead and manage cross-functional team members, internal and external clients, vendors, and channel partners
• Detailed project planning, negotiation/conflict resolution, and communication skills representing broad business interests
• Adept at coordinating multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Big Picture Management and/or JTBD a huge plus
• Travel, including some International travel, as needed
