As an Associate Product Manager, you will be part of our Growth & Support team focused on easing the adaptability and consumption of our services for one of Bread Financial's main partners and their merchants. Reporting into the Senior Product Manager, this role includes designing frameworks & strategies for delivery and upkeep of integrations with third parties, thought leadership around new product enhancements, helping to enable delivery of eCommerce and in-store payment experiences, and assisting with the launch of new product offerings. The solutions implemented by the Growth & Support team are critical to our merchant and partner experience, as they are often the first experience that they will have with Bread Financial, setting the tone for all future engagements.

Job Description

Your Role at Bread Financial:

  • You will manage work streams related to the Bread Financial in-store user and eCommerce merchant experience, helping to ensure parity across internal platforms, upgrading our platform, and partnering across product verticals on new / strategic initiatives
  • Write strong Product Requirements Documents and User Stories to anchor your Squad and cross-functional partners in those opportunities
  • Engage with key partners and merchants to deliver on best-in-class lending solutions and own relationships with our external partners and development vendors
  • Keep up-to-date on the evolution of the eCommerce platform and in-store payment spaces to inform the team on relevant updates, functionality or shifts that we may need to react to or focus on
  • Help drive overall product strategy and roadmap planning
  • Collaborate with the Shop, Member, Merchant Success, Merchant Solutions, and Partnerships teams to gather feature requests and requirements for future releases
  • Establish project-specific release cycles and communicate to stakeholders about upcoming releases and importance levels
  • Triage bugfix requests for modifications from the Support, Shop, Merchant Success, and / or Customer Support teams and when necessary translate those requests into product requirements documents

What we are looking for:

  • 1-2 years of product management experience
  • A passion for working directly / partnering with external customers to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
  • Efficient project management skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritize, track, and communicate results
  • The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with Engineering partners and other key stakeholders (e.g. Design, Data/Analytics, Legal/Compliance, and other Product Verticals)
  • Effective communicator who cares about people and can build and maintain relationships as well as gain alignment both internally and externally
  • Technically knowledgeable with an understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), the Agile methodology and the associated Agile ceremonies.
  • The ability to foresee or predict potential challenges / obstacles and the ability to handle them effectively
  • The ability to think on your feet and, when necessary, make informed quick decisions
  • Optimism, curiosity, kindness, and a strong sense of urgency

Nice to have:

  • BS/BA Degree
  • Experience working in distributed teams and in regulated industries
  • Experience in the eCommerce, FinTech, or payments space

Salary Range:

$65,000.00 - $155,200.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial's 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safety Time per calendar year at the beginning of each year and is prorated in the associate's first year of employment.

Hired associates will be able to elect to purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
