We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, and analytical Associate Product Manager, Payments to join our team and to help scale our growth. You will work closely with product/development teams that span across geographic regions to improve our overall processes, execute new features, optimize efficiencies and identify improvement opportunities. 

This team is core to our company’s strength in selling one-of-a-kind products online. With buyers across 170 countries and sellers across nearly 30 countries, we are the industry leaders in handling high value transactions across the globe. With that said, there is significant opportunity for global expansion and our transaction products play a critical role in growth and improving efficiencies. 

This role is considered to be highly strategic for 1stDibs that has significant visibility across the organization. You will own payments, billing, and invoicing experience on 1stDibs, which includes launching new transaction features, integrating with third party providers, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. 

This Associate Product Manager will partner closely with the finance, engineering, client services, buyer, and seller teams to execute improvements. In addition, the individual will spearhead cross-functional plans to coordinate across multiple teams to ensure features are rolled out successfully.


This is a hybrid role located in New York, NY (2-3 days/week in-office)

What you’ll do

  • You will lead execution of key products & initiatives for the 1stDibs’ payments platform
  • You will define requirements, goals and success metrics for respective product launches, including designing A/B tests (where applicable)
  • You will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage your team’s learnings 
  • You will evaluate existing pain points and analyze our payment flow to shape roadmap and product enhancements
  • You will conduct competitive audits and analyze our current payments capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement  
  • You will integrate user research, market analysis, analytics and community feedback into product requirements
  • You will serve as a cross-functional leader to collaborate with various teams to drive new product initiatives
  • You will manage projects using agile methodologies
  • You will assist with the preparation of reporting and other presentation materials for executive reviews.

What you will bring

  • You have 1+ years of product management experience, ideally in a marketplace, e-commerce, or building financial, accounting, or multi-currency platforms.
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have strong quantitative and analytical skills to analyze feature performance and the ability to make tradeoffs 
  • You can break down complex problems and communicate effectively across different functions to identify potential solutions.
  • You can collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive effective decision-making.
  • You have experience building, iterating, and scaling products.
  • You have experience with project management and multitasking, as well as the ability to juggle projects in parallel.
  • You can build virtual teams with subject experts across the company, leading them to work together and create a roadmap.

Our overall compensation package is made of several parts, base compensation being one of them. At 1stDibs we value and are proud of our culture, innovation, professional development and training workshops, trust and giving back to the community.  Equity, a comprehensive benefits package, and incentive (IF APPLICABLE)  are all are components of your total compensation package.  Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Tri-State Pay Range

$132,000—$150,000 USD
