Position Summary
OneView is looking for an Associate Product Owner to define, manage, and prioritize the enterprise retail products and features that will be built by a Scrum Team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Strategy and Product Operations, this role will help identify the product and feature strategy by understanding retail best practices and through direct interaction with leadership and cross-team leads. The Associate Product Owner will work with the Product Owner Team to identify and promote stakeholder needs and continually prioritize the team backlog to maximize the value of the product and the go-to-market initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the product backlog, including the creation and prioritization of epics and user stories and defining the acceptance criteria for the product.
  • Providing vision and direction to the scrum team and stakeholders ensuring a clear and prioritized backlog of work is ready and available to support team execution.
  • Ensure that the team has an adequate amount of prioritized work ready to be groomed as sprint candidates.
  • Ensure that the Scrum Team deliverables meet agreed-upon standards for quality and non-functional requirements, and that the product meets the documented business needs and objectives.
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
  • Collaboratively support the team's objective of meeting sprint goals and provide knowledge to minimize complexity as well as renegotiate goals as needed.
  • Follow the progress of work and address issues that impact backlog prioritization and/or sprint goals during active cycles.

Skills and Experience
  • BA/BS degree is required.
  • 1-2 years working for a retail company or in a role delivering software solutions to a retail company.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
