As a member of ESO’s product team, you will be collaborating with our State and Hospital product domains, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and engineers to provide and support customers with product needs. The ideal candidate has a passion for data transformations in the healthcare industry.
Reporting to the Product Manager of Registry, you will be part of our Product Management team based in our Belfast office.
What You’ll Be Doing – the day-to-day
You will be responsible for executing our state product strategy. You’ll know how to interpret stakeholder needs and translate them into requirements for engineering execution. You’ll consistently assess the value/why behind any action and collaborate with cross-functional teams in creative problem-solving. You will play a key role in translating our mission and product strategy into action by documenting product requirements and user stories, grooming and prioritizing a product backlog, and collaborating with a cross-functional agile development team as we design, build and ship new products and features. Â
You can expect to:
- Interpret high-level business requirements to create user stories that solve data-centric problems for our customers.
- Support your engineering team to ensure that they have everything they need to size, accept, and execute work.
- Help define releases as a collection of new/incremental features, architectural improvements, and technical debt.
- Triage data issues throughout the life cycle of development and those reported by users.
- Leverage performance metrics to evaluate opportunities for improvement and work with the product team to implement changes where profitable.
Who You Are - Some of the essential things required to be successful in the role:
- Highly skilled in data transformation with Excel spreadsheets, XML documents, data dictionaries, and data visualizations.
- Succinct communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience in analytical problem-solving processes.
- Proven ability to be detail-oriented, multi-task, and coordinate with multiple teams.
- A growing knowledge of clinical terms, especially in the Trauma / Emergency Medicine space. We will also consider candidates without this direct experience if you have a background in data analytics, identifying patterns across data sets.Â
Who You Are – the desirables (It’s a plus if you have):
- Product Management certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Mind the Product, etc.)
- Proficiency in commonly used product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Miro or similar).
- Experience in a fast-growing enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology company, ideally in a mission-critical environment where quality matters. Â
