Resource Innovations is seeking an Associate Program Manager to join our growing team in the Chicagoland Area. As an Associate Program Manager with Resource Innovations, you will work in a dynamic environment leading and managing a team of outreach and operations staff on large scale commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs. The Associate Program Manager will play a highly visible role both internally and externally and will be responsible for developing short and long-term implementation plans, leading program implementation activities, and developing trusted relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and program contacts.

The Associate Program Manager must be able to manage project tasks in a dynamic environment and respond quickly to implementation changes and market conditions. This position requires excellent planning, budgeting, and people-management skills. Experience working in partnership with energy efficiency implementation subcontractors, community-based organizations, low-income communities, and/or government entities is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage program launch and implementation including development of work plans to meet goals, aligning staff assignments, and providing accurate forecasting both internally and to clients.
  • Deliver successful energy efficiency programs to utility client(s) per contract terms and program budgets.
  • Identify, define, track, and drive the development of program deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Continuously assesses project progress to goal and develop innovative and creative solutions to new issues and/or market dynamics.
  • Lead a dynamic team in meeting program delivery goals by setting and reviewing program standards and objectives.
  • Support outreach functions through community engagement, program presentations, and relationship-building as needed.
  • Develop, manage, and foster partnerships with subcontractors, community groups, and other industry affiliates/stakeholders.
  • Manage client expectations, satisfaction, communications, and resolves and/or escalates client issues.
  • Interface with key internal departments such as IT, Marketing, Finance, and HR to develop efficiencies to meet program needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field including, but not limited to, business, energy/environment, engineering. Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 3 or more years of experience in energy efficiency or a related field required, commercial program experience preferred.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing project scopes, budgets, and plans.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Excellent project and program management skills.
  • Ability and experience in short and long-range planning and strategy.
  • Proficient in establishing job and work process flows.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task while consistently meeting deadlines on time and within budget.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, action-oriented attitude showing initiation and creativity.
  • Client service focus.
  • Ability to collaborate well at all levels within an organization and be a team-player.
