In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. In search of entry level professional to lead moderately complex program(s), and/or strategic business process development/execution. May act as primary program manager and/or engineer for one or more specific weapon, product/service, or reimbursable programs.

Represents Program Management function for assigned program elements to internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluates, determines and drives program management activities to manage one or more moderate to significantly complex weapons program elements
• Provides knowledgeable input to review and drive execution of innovative solutions to technical issues
• Participates in the development of cost and schedule framework for projects and program elements
• Provides support and guidance to the financial planning, monitoring, scheduling, preparation and release of technical/schedule information required for program/project planning
• Assists in establishment and oversight of production/project definitions, maintenance of schedules, and engineering releases associated with weapon or reimbursable programs
• Performs some technical, administrative, and logistical liaison roles with company, design agencies, laboratories, integrated contractors for one or more weapons and growth programs

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Two or more years of relevant experience in engineering, business or program management
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" level security clearance

NICE TO HAVES:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is preferred
• Established knowledge of customers, products, technologies, processes preferred
• PMI certification preferred
• Ability to integrate concepts and information with program management systems and processes
• Ability to provide project management guidance, consultative services, and innovative solutions
• Working knowledge of business concepts principles associated with project cost and forecasting
• Effective communication, interactive and presentation skills
