The Role

We are looking for an Associate Project Manager (APM) to partner with the Project Manager and Operations team to drive key initiatives from ideation to launch. You will help spearhead critical projects that span departments, keeping deliverables on-track while ensuring visibility through detailed reporting to leadership. The ideal APM thrives in a dynamic environment, leveraging excellent organization and creative problem-solving skills to pivot quickly and manage multiple priorities.

Please note: This is an on-site role with the requirement to be in the office at least 4 times per week.

Responsibilities:

Help drive large-scale company projects by coordinating resources across departments and holding teams accountable to project schedules and deliverable commitments.

Analyze current team workflows and processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Maintain project documentation, ensuring all relevant information is organized, stored, and easily accessible to team members.

Own administrative responsibilities including meeting facilitation, agenda and minute creation, and resource planning.

Track project milestones using PM tools and techniques; establish risk management protocols to minimize disruptions, control costs, and drive on-time delivery.

Work cross-functionally to pinpoint strategic and operational risks; develop mitigation and contingency plans to safeguard timelines and deliverables.

Compensation: The Expected base pay for the role will be between $107,000 - $138,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonus and other Cover Whale-sponsored total rewards/benefits.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business related field.
• 2-5 years of experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.

Must-Have Skills/Abilities

• Organization - you can handle many different work streams while staying on top of them and not letting items slip through the cracks, all while effectively managing expectations.
• You're not afraid to ask questions and speak up but explore possible answers before jumping into questions.
• Strategic Thinking - you can balance tactical execution with high-level goals and outcomes and see the big picture.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred (But Not Required)

• PMP certification, CSM (a plus)
• Commercial auto insurance experience (a plus)
