Associate Relations Director, Global Strategic Initiatives (Remote)

Job Description:

Associate Relations at Mars is a critical partner to the P&O Leadership, P&O Heads, COEs and corporate functions to achieve the goals aligned with the people agenda and business strategy, provide leadership to the business, and ensure associate advocacy. The Global Center for AR is at the center of developing the future landscape of Associate Policies as Mars Competitive Advantage. In partnership with the Global People and Organization Leadership Team (GPOLT -Global HR Leadership) in defining Mars Associate Policies agenda to enable the enterprise people strategy and ensure that the progressive business agenda is supported by a clear and nimble policy agenda.

The Director will design, lead, and implement a global & regional process to strategically deploy Associate Policies at Mars. Utilizing the voices of our Associates, bringing external and internal perspectives, the future of policies will be accessible, scalable and simplified. The role will facilitate the Mars Global Policies Board, the governance authority for the global policy agenda.

This role partners to develop and implement strategies to enable an environment of trust, fair treatment, compliance to employment law and safeguarding The Five Principles and the Associate Concept as a foundation for success of our business. This role provides expertise to business leadership in the areas of employment law, union relations, policy & practices and the people impact of organization change and initiatives. As a global transformation partner, the Director facilitates tailored solutions that enables the acceleration of organization change and fosters cultural evolution that creates a competitive advantage. Through the regional resources, this role provides perspective, insights and manages resource allocation to deliver organizational transformation and strategic initiatives. The director is accountable for driving continuous improvement through scalable solutions, simplification, and global/regional standardization.

This an exciting opportunity for a talented P&O Associate to drive and influence change in a global role in Associate Relations function, be a member of a global leadership team with unique contribution in Associate Relations strategic Initiatives design and in delivering the strategic vision for global priorities for the Global Center. This role requires strategic thought leadership and functional expertise to support the vision and longer-range strategy for AR.

About you:

You have a passion for HR and bring at least 10 years of experience in multiple HR functions, HRBP, Talent Partner, Associate Relations, and policy/process management. You enjoy training and facilitation. You have the ability to interact at all levels in the organization, including senior management. You thrive on influencing and developing relationships across the organization to create change. You love using data to provide insight and tell a story. You understand employment and labor laws.
