Our Associate Relations Manager is responsible for providing guidance and recommendations regarding the resolution of associate relations matters including performance improvement, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, investigations, compliance and sensitive employment decisions.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Advise and consult with leaders/associates on a broad range of associate relations issues including coaching, conflict resolution, internal investigations, corrective action, terminations, and other highly confidential matters
  • Thoroughly document investigation plans, interviews, summaries, and recommendations in a timely, high-quality manner
  • Tailor and deliver communication in an effective, measured way to help influence the right outcomes with stakeholders as well as mitigate risks to the company
  • Proactively identify trends, opportunities, challenges, and solutions to help drive operational and organizational excellence
  • Build strong partnerships and collaborate with the broader HR team as well as other areas such as Legal, Fraud, Compliance, and Security
  • Ensure consistent and effective application of HR Policies, practices and programs and compliance with FMLA/ADA, Title VII, as well as other federal and state employment laws
  • Maintain a working knowledge of industry trends, federal and state employment legislation
  • Ensure company compliance by updating and implementing company policies and procedures
  • Develop and conduct compliance and training programs as necessary
  • Review and provide recommendations on policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform as a trusted advisor and to build partnerships at the management level

Educational Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • SHRM Certification
  • 5+ in Associate Relations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality as well as exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to provide an independent point of view on people and issues while having the courage and sensitivity to deliver tough messages to leaders and associates
  • Proven success consulting, coaching, and influencing associates and leaders at all levels of the organization
  • Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and responsibilities in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws including but not limited to, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills

Salary Band: 06B

This selected candidate will be expected to work Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
