Associate Relations Sr. Manager-Southeast Region
Job Description
The Sr. Associate Relations Manager is responsible for leading a team of remote Associate Relations professionals across the US and Canada. They are responsible to establish a high-performance culture and development of AR experts and future P&O talent. They are a member of the Americas AR leadership team and serve as key point of contact/partner for identified segment P&O leadership teams (ie MW, Pet, Food, RC).
What are we looking for?
- Minimum qualification: University degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Legal
- Preferred qualification: Master's degree; Combination of education and experience preferred
- Extensive related HR experience (8-10 years) in HR functions, including three to five years in a managerial role
- Ideally experience working in an associate relations/labor relations environment and providing associate/labor relations expertise
- Ability to interact and develop relationships with all levels of associates, including senior management, to influence desired outcomes
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Strong communication skills, written and interpersonal
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional conflict management skills
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership in the management of complex AR issues across the region and segments.
- Ensuring compliance and adherence to local employment laws & practices.
- Providing consultancy and expertise to support segment change & transformation initiatives including supporting Associates and Line Managers.
- Coach and consult line managers to be Great Line Managers focused on leading in the "Mars Way".
- Gauge the pulse of the Associates & the business through our day-to-day interactions with associates and key stakeholders As a key partner to identified segments the role will share data and insights to with segment leadership teams to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for action.
