Associate Revenue Accountant

Pendo is looking for an Associate Revenue Accountant who will contribute in the order-to-cash process from end to end, partnering closely with Sales, Revenue Operations and Accounts Receivable to meet the revenue, cash, and ARR targets. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of ASC 606, along with a SaaS revenue model experience in industry, public accounting, or a combination of both. The position reports directly to the Revenue Accounting Manager on a Raleigh-based team. 

Role Responsibilities 

• Work closely with Deal Desk and IT teams to ensure deals have been properly processed in Salesforce and integrated accurately into Workday Financials
• Review and prepare contracts in Workday Financials to comply with ASC 606
• Create and distribute customer invoices; liaison with Collections and Sales on invoicing questions and requests
• Assist with various automation initiatives related to contract processing and recurring invoicing
• Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in revenue and related areas, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, and related reporting and disclosures
• Partner with cross functional teams to improve and streamline processes 
• Participate in user acceptance testing for order-to-cash process improvements
• Assist in preparation of support for quarterly and annual audit requests
• Other accounting duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• 1-2 years of accounting, finance, billing, or invoicing experience
• Foundational understanding of ASC 606
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing workload effectively, and staying focused under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday Financials and Salesforce
• Prior experience working in the SaaS industry
• Experience in public accounting

Compensation

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

The expected base salary range for this role in the following location is:

Raleigh, NC - USD $50,400 - $65,000

Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
