Associate, Risk Management

DUTIES: AG US Group Services Inc. seeks Associate, Risk Management in New York, NY to take ownership of tasks under enterprise risk management umbrella including modeling of economic capital adequacy, stress testing, climate data, model governance, preparation of enterprise risk reports and regulatory reporting. Work with Economic Capital Models (ECM). Prepare and review excel-based input files for ECM, review model outputs, perform validation of results. Updated and create new ECM documentation. Provide new ideas for how to measure, manage and report different components of Enterprise Risk Management across the organization. Take ownership of updating various Risk Management reports that are prepared for the Company’s Board of Directors. Prepare portions of the quarterly management reports and annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessments (ORSAs) that provide information on portfolio breakdown, top risks, risk attribution. Take a leadership role in the execution of the Model Governance Function. Run diagnostic software tools on internal Excel-based and other models to ensure they are working properly and generating the expected results. Interpret the results of diagnostic runs and create succinct written reports on findings. Train other departments on the requirements related to Model Governance and work with them to ensure that the internal model inventory is up-to-date. Work with regulatory reporting. Take ownership of preparation and review of quarterly UK, EU and annual Bermuda quantitative regulatory filings using Excel skills and strong attention to detail and work with the local subsidiary employees to resolve differences and explain key numerical movements.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Business, Accounting, or Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing Excel to build and review Excel-based models; utilizing experience with financial markets and industry including accounting concepts including balance sheets, income statements; working with enterprise risk management concepts; working with regulatory required reporting calculations; preparing internal and regulatory reports; working on projects and liaising directly with stakeholders on project status and updates. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Offered salary is between $82,000 and $90,000 per year. 40 hours per week.
