Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Design, develop, and support software components related to large scale payment processing applications that can scale to millions of payments and operate in a highly available capacity. Push high quality, modular, secure, testable and maintainable code using Java and the Spring framework ecosystem running in containers on the Amazon Web Services public cloud. Contribute to designing new features which seamlessly integrate and scale up with other parts of the payment platform. Solve large scale, high-throughput data processing problems using low-latency and reliable middleware such as Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams. Design, develop, and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines as part of a Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) strategy using GitLab and GitOps tools and infrastructure. Work with a global engineering team and participate in design discussions and stand-ups across multiple regions.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, a related Engineering specialty like Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related role or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, a related Engineering specialty like Computer Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with Master's) or three (3) years of experience (with Bachelor's) with: working with data structures, multi-threaded systems, and time and space complexity algorithms to develop and maintain industrial software systems; designing and developing software in Java or any other object-oriented language; working through all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, analysis, designing, development and testing, implementation, and maintenance to build processes and source code management; and working on Unix-like systems and version control tools including GIT or SVN.
