Associate Solutions Engineer is the entry level Sales Engineer role we have in Zscaler. In this role, you will be going through an extensive technical and sales development program and will have the opportunity to learn from the best minds in the cyber security industry. Program consists of;Â
- Months 1-3: Training and development, with active mentoring
- Months 4-6: On-the-job-experience (OJE) in Zscaler Service Center while continuing training and development.
- Months 6+: Full time role as a Solutions Engineer in Zscaler Service Center
- Months 12+: Role transition into Commercial Solutions Engineer or Partner Solutions Engineer roles in Zscaler Sales.Â
Key responsibilities as an Associate Solutions Engineer:Â
- Be curious, learn, apply and improve
- Complete given tasks and assessments within deadline
- Become competent with Zscaler’s products and messagingÂ
- Build sales acumen to relate to customers and offer strong value proposition
- Develop hands-on knowledge and experience with the Zscaler cloud platform
- Deliver crisp and effective product demos using Solutions Demo CenterÂ
Key responsibilities as a Solutions Engineer in Zscaler Service Center:
- Work directly with channel partners to help close sales opportunities by positioning Zscaler as the technical choiceÂ
- Provide on-demand solutions demos to partners and customersÂ
- Handle technical questions and objections from partnersÂ
- Educate customers and partners on Zscaler’s technologies and competitive differentiators and update them on new products and solutions
- Deliver virtual Proof-of-Value labs to Commercial customersÂ
- Provide technical evaluation, RFP/RFI support to partners during joint sales process
Key responsibilities as a Solutions EngineerÂ
- Provide technical thought leadership and advice to customers on how to transform their digital experience leveraging Zscaler architecture
- Assume total ownership of the technical sale and processes
- Independently identify and qualify technical opportunities
- Maintain hands-on experience to deliver exceptional Proof-of-Concept labs to demonstrate Zscaler technologies and differentiate from competitors
- Develop customer champions and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Independently deliver sales pitches, technical and whiteboard presentations,
- Enable the customer to be self-sufficient following the sale, utilizing both internal and external resources, to ensure successful deployments
- Share best practices and developments in Zscaler methodologies both internally and at Partner and Customer events
Qualifications
- Bachelor (BSc) or Masters (MSc/MEng) degrees in technology, security, networking or software fields; preferably in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineer, Cyber Security, Electronics, Networking/Communications, Mathematics, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or similar disciplines.Â
- Applicants with Bachelor or Masters degrees in non-technology related fields will be considered, as long as they provide a record of experience, projects and activities demonstrating ability and experience in technology.Â
- Ideally graduated within 30 months of the application deadline or graduating this year (March 19th, 2024).
- Candidates must be fluent (C1 or above) in English. Ability to speak fluent German, French, Spanish, Italian or Arabic is a plus.
- Relevant experience in Cyber Security, Cloud, Networking, AI, and industry certifications are preferred, but not a requirement. Â
- Ability to travel to Central London (Bishopsgate) at least 3-days a week. This is a primarily office-based role with some hybrid work flexibility. Â
- No relocation is offered.Â

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
Base Pay Range
$1—$1 USD
