Job Description

The objective of the Associate Sales Executive (ASE) is to provide an additional sales professional to each Sales Executive ("SE") Region (focused on acquiring new business) in the Corporate Counsel Channel. This is an inside sales position and the position must be based in a TR hub geography. The ASE Manager will direct the ASE to focus on portions of the region for sales opportunities as needed to most effectively support the SE in their assigned territory. This position will also serve as a bench for future sales role openings and may also cover open territories as needed. The ASE will gain sales experience by prospecting, setting discovery meetings and joining customer calls independently (or with an SE) as directed by the ASE Manager. The sales efforts will take place over the telephone/Web Meetings. Duties include setting appointments, establishing our products and solutions value through discovery calls and demonstrations, crafting proposals, developing and delivering presentations, cold calling and closing sales.

Location: Must be based in a TR hub location in the United States.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as an Associate Sales Executive, you will:

  • Meet annual new sales quota
  • Conduct online appointments with customers
  • Demonstrate and sell across the whole product bag, with particular focus on Thomson Reuters legal content products - Westlaw and Practical Law Connect
  • Maintain a pipeline of at least 3 times new sales quota
  • Update salesforce.com on an ongoing basis and work all pipeline opportunities

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Associate Sales Executive if you have:

  • 4-year college degree preferred; JD or legal industry experience strongly preferred
  • Commitment to accept a Sales Executive position in targeted geography
  • Minimum 2 years direct client contact in either inside or outside sales
  • Prior responsibility for wide product bag
  • Experience with consultative sales process
