About the Job
We are seeking a hard-working, results oriented salesperson to join our LATAM Sales Team. The incumbent is accountable for supporting the New York sales team sitting out of either New York, NY or Miami, FL and building their own list of prospective clients.
What You’ll Do
- Master the products and services that we market to assigned clients
- Manage the analytical needs of our client base as well as perform research on prospective clients
- Obtain and distill user feedback and making thoughtful suggestions as to systems enhancements, functionality and usability
- Manage relationships with clients and build rapport to be recognized as a subject matter expert and trusted resource
- Support senior sales relationship managers to maximize end-user training
- Coordinate the development and refinement of marketing collateral, as needed, with the US Marketing team
- Represent MarketAxess at industry events, as applicable
- Perform P/L analysis as well as ROI on prospective vendor relationships
- Work alongside the Sales Team/Senior Relationship Managers managing our clients in Spanish-speaking Latin America, Caribbean, and the Southeast US
What You Bring to the Table
- Must have 1-3 years of experience from financial services; sales or operations experience from a broker dealer, or relevant experience working for a fixed income electronic trading venue
- Must have some working knowledge of the financial markets, preferably fixed income
- Must be fluent in spoken and written Spanish, Portuguese a plus
- Must have a passion for electronic trading and the resilience to effectively promote “a new way of doing things”
- Ability to travel as needed for training and client engagement (25 – 50%)
- Self-starter, extremely results oriented and tenacious
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Salesforce required
- Strong proficiency in Word and Powerpoint required
- Prior experience using the MarketAxess platform preferred
- Good at feeding back information to others in other functions and/or locations
- Strong collaborator
- Must be detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills – both a team player and someone with strong client orientation
- Bachelor's degree in finance, or related field
- Series 7 and 63 licensed (if not licensed, must pass exam within 6 months of hire)

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $85,000 USD to $105,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
